About the Studio

Innovation is a continuation of craftsmanship. Drawing from family heritage and embracing digital manufacturing, KOCHER740 creates timeless objects where hand-finished details meet advanced technology.

The studio

KOCHER740 is the Barcelona studio of designer Nicole Ray Kochergin, working from Poblenou’s old industrial blocks. Everything — drafting, printing, assembly and finishing — happens in one room, which is why a piece can move from a first sketch to a finished object without ever leaving the building.

How a piece is made

Each design begins as a 3D scan and a technical draft. Volume, load and seam are resolved in CAD before a single panel is cut, the way a structure is drafted rather than the way a garment is draped. Structural elements are printed in PLA or resin; leather and vegan leather are cut, shaped and stitched around them by hand. Every printed surface is sanded, sealed and finished individually, so no two pieces are identical.

Materials

Real leather, vegan leather, 3D-printed PLA and resin, and technical textiles. Materials are chosen for how they behave under load, not only for how they look — the lattice openings in the signature bags exist because the structure allows them.

What the studio does

• Bags and objects. Ready-to-ship and made-to-order sculptural bags, footwear hardware and printed accessories, sold directly through this site.
• Editorial rental. Garments and looks available to stylists for editorial pulls and to talent for events.
• 3D services. Scanning, modelling and fabrication for other designers and studios — from a single printed component to a full production run.

Timelines

Ready-to-Ship pieces leave the studio within 1–3 business days. Made-to-Order pieces are produced after your order is placed and generally take 2–4 weeks. Custom commissions run to their own agreed timeline, confirmed with you before production begins.

Visit or commission

The studio receives visitors by appointment, Monday to Friday 09:00–18:00 and Saturday 10:00–14:00. Bags are also available to see in person at CLOSETD-08, Barcelona.
